Mother’s Day At Britannia Spice

Hopefully just mentioning the date of 3 April should bring something to mind, if not, it’s maybe time to start thinking about it! Mother’s Day this year falls on that very day – and there is no excuse for not making mum feel special – even if just for this one day!!

Britannia Spice Charity Fashion Show

On Sunday 6 March, our Britannia Spice restaurant is turning into a catwalk as we host a Charity Fashion Show. Between 2pm and 5pm in the afternoon we are doing something a bit special as we host an X-Factor style show where anyone over the age of 18 can come and try their hand at modelling. There will be a wide range of clothes available with both an Eastern and Western theme – so prepare to glam up and create a fantastic impression.

This event is one of a number of heats which will lead to a final in Leicester this June where one person will be chosen as the number one model. All funds raised will be split between Alzheimer Scotland & Leicester charities, LOROS & Prostaid.

Please come along and support this fantastic event – there will be hot food, snacks, and a raffle with some fantastic prizes and it’s all for a great cause.

Valentine’s Day Delights

Curry Master Class Nights

One of the great things about going out for food is enjoying a dish that has been created by a really skilled chef. Whilst it is all well and good sitting at a table and getting served do you ever wonder what goes on behind those kitchen doors? Wouldn’t it be fascinating to see how your food has been made (and maybe even pick up a few tips to try at home)?

At Britannia Spice we have planned a special treat for January. From Sunday to Thursdays, we will be offering a very special evening where you can watch and learn as your meal is prepared in front of your eyes by our award winning chef. If you wish to take part you can – just ask.

As you can imagine – for an event like this we ask that you book in advance – and when you do we can discuss your specific requirements for the evening. This special event serves a 2 course meal and is for a minimum of 4 people per booking – Vegetarian for £20 per person and Non-Vegetarian for £25 per person.

Chef’s Selection Night This September

We’d like to let you know all about an exciting new monthly event here at the Britannia Spice Restaurant.

On Tuesday 7th September 2010, our first Chef’s Selection Night is going to take place.  From 5:30-7:30pm our skilled head head chef, Babal Yal Ladav, will be cooking a fantastic range of special dishes that aren’t usually available on the menu.

Although we’re sworn to secrecy and can’t tell you what he’ll be making, the dishes will be displayed in advance of the event to whet your appetite!

To make the evening extra special our chef will be creating the dishes in full view of your table – so you will be able to see a master at work – and then sample the food he creates!

We promise you an evening like no other – with a 2 course meal of the most delectable Indian food you could wish for – as well as the opportunity to learn new tricks for cooking at home.
