Outside catering re-launched at Britannia Spice

Britannia Spice - Corporate Catering

Edinburgh’s favourite multi-ethnic restaurant is breaking out of the kitchen and into our homes and offices. Britannia Spice will be offering full menus or Indian hors d’oeuvres to events across Scotland.

The restaurant will offer fixed price menus for all events – from birthdays to team building events, weddings to corporate meetings.

“We used to cater for lots of outside parties and events,” says Dr Wali Uddin MBE, Chairman of Britannia Spice. “We have been lucky enough to win a lot of awards over the past few years, and so the restaurant has gotten busier and busier. It was very easy to allow the outside catering side of the business to fall by the wayside. We’ve recently taken on some more staff to ensure that we can excel at both sides of what we do.”

The restaurant has hired a designated events planner to coordinate all sides of the outside catering arm of the business. Leah Parker will be available for consultation, free of charge, with anyone wanting to plan an event in conjunction with Britannia Spice. “It’s really exciting for Britannia Spice to be dedicating a team to events,” says Leah. “We can’t wait to get our teeth into some of Edinburgh’s most exciting events.”

Having catered for events at the Scottish Parliament, the team are raring to go, and are offering a 10% discount on their already competitive prices for the first ten outside catering customers they get. “It’s the restaurant’s tenth birthday this year, it seemed a fitting tribute,” says Wali Uddin. “We just hope that 2010 will be the year Britannia Spice breaks out into the big wide world!”
